Customizing A-Dock with A-Dock Control

The “Keys” pane :

This pane lets let setup some keyboard shortcuts for A-Dock.

    Important :
To assign a new shortcut press the button and enter the new shortcut you want. Just make sure that this shortcut is not also used by an application. An easy way to avoid conflicts is to have both the Ctrl key and the key in the shortcut.

The cycling shortcut

This shortcut is different from the built-in + tab shortcut of Mac OS 8.5 and higher !!

By default, this shortcut is Ctrl + tab but can be easily changed.

This shortcut works like following :
    Press down
Ctrl + tab and keep Ctrl pressed. This will expand the Dock if it’s not already expanded. Then each time you press again the tab key, A-Dock will hilite the next application in the list. A-Dock will switch to the hilited application ONLY when you will release the Ctrl key. If you want to cancel the action, keep the Ctrl key held down, and press the Esc key. Then release the Ctrl key.

The reverse-cycling shortcut

This works as the cycling shortcut described above, but in the other direction.

Only cycle through running applications

By default, the application cycling shortcut will hilite the next application inside the dock whether it's running or not. By selecting this command, when you hit the cycling shortcut, A-Dock will hilite the next application that is running, skipping all non-running applications.

Hide/Show shortcut

It's possible to completely hide A-Dock's palette from the screen with this shortcut.
Be careful, once the palette has been hidden, it will stay hidden until you press this shortcut again !!!

Collapse/Expand shortcut

Use this shortcut to collapse/expand the dock without having to click inside.

Hide front app shortcut

A-Dock lets you choose a shortcut to hide the frontmost application. It has the very same effect as to choose the "Hide" command from the Applications Menu.

Quick launch with ctrl+F1 to ctrl+F12

When this option is enabled, pressing the control key plus a function key between F1 and F12 will launch/open the corresponding favorite item (F1 for the leftmost one or uppermost one depending on the dock orientation).
